Let me introduce myself. My name’s Carol and it’s lovely to meet you.
I’ve loved creating and crafting since I was a child (I won first prize for my contemporary arrangement of bulrushes and orange lilies at Peterhead Scottish Week Flower Show aged about 12 [oh yeah, I know my Ikebana from my Hogarth Curve!]). Now aged 50-something there aren’t many crafts that I haven’t had a go at (with varying degrees of success). Embroidery, water colour painting, stained glass, lampwork bead making, willow weaving, mosaics …. the list goes on. I think I could definitely be described as a crafting butterfly, flitting from one craft to another.
I love a new challenge, and natural skin care and traditional cold process soapmaking are my current passion. It feeds my inner science geek while being creative; and, of course, I end up with a wonderful product at the end.
Why not see what I’ve been up to recently on my blog.
When I’m not crafting I’m a teacher in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, and live with my husband and cat. My sons have sadly flown the nest … but that does mean there’s a spare bedroom just crying out to be made into a craft room. 😉
